Versus (バーサス Bāsasu?) is a Japanese monthly manga series written by ONE, illustrated by Kyoutarou Azuma and composed by bose. It began publication on Monthly Shōnen Sirius on November 26th, 2022.[1] The series is being simulpub in English by K MANGA.
Plot[]
Humanity has been oppressed for hundreds of years due to the rise and invasion of its natural enemy "demons". The world was ruled by the "Great Demon King" and his 47 subordinate "Demon Lords".
While people live in fear, 47 people selected from all over the world have been named "Heroes" and are preparing to fight against the Great Demon King's army.
And now, a desperate operation was about to begin that would put the very survival of the human race at stake.
History[]
Versus started publication on November 26th, 2022 on Kodansha's magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius. The first volume was released on April 7th, 2023. Kodansha added Versus to the list of simulpub mangas in their digital service K MANGA in October 2023. In November 2023, Kodansha USA announced that they had licensed the manga for English print release in North America, starting in 2024.[2]
Reception[]
Versus was nominated for Next Manga Awards 2023 in the Print Category.[3] And was nominated again for Next Manga Awards 2024 and got 15th place.[4][5]
